Description
Musicians Ilga Reizniece and Iveta Mielava bring 23 Latvian folk instruments into the classroom for pupils in grades 1–4. Ilga first plays several instruments, painting scenes from nature and daily life in sound, and then the class plays a riddle game, naming all 23 instruments and placing their pictures in a shared puzzle circle. The children play too, and may touch and try the instruments during and after the lesson.
