Privacy policy

What boorel.com collects, what it is used for, and how you can control it.
boorel.com is run by its owner; the contact address is info@boorel.com. Write there about anything to do with your data.1. What you give us
When you register you give an e-mail address and a password. The password is stored hashed and nobody can read it. An organiser profile can also hold the organisation name, phone, e-mail, address, website and logo; that information is public, because it is shown on your club pages.
2. What is collected automatically
Every visit is recorded in a technical log: the time, the address (URL), the response code, the IP address, the browser and device type, the language setting and the page you arrived from. From the IP address we derive only the country and the network operator, never a precise location. This is used for security, for finding faults and for general statistics, and is kept for no longer than 12 months.
3. Cookies
Only cookies the site needs to work: a session cookie (for signing in and for protecting forms) and cookies remembering the country and county: the ones you choose for a year, the ones a page you opened implies only until you close the browser. There are no advertising or tracking cookies. You can delete or block cookies in your browser; you will then have to sign in and pick a region again.
4. Why we use it, and on what basis
E-mail and password, so that you can sign in and manage your clubs (performance of a contract). The technical log and cookies, so that the site runs safely and we can improve it (legitimate interest).
5. Who else sees it
The site runs on servers in the European Union. We use: Bunny.net to deliver images and files; DeepL to translate descriptions; Google Maps for address coordinates; an e-mail provider for account messages; OpenStreetMap for maps (when a map is shown, its servers receive your IP address); and Sentry for reports of site errors (the page address and browser type at the time of the error, without the IP address). We do not sell data or pass it to anyone else unless the law requires it.
6. How long we keep it
Account data for as long as you have an account. After you delete it, the data is removed within 30 days, except accounting records we are required to keep. The technical log is kept up to 12 months.
7. Your rights
You may see your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its processing, and receive it in a portable format. Write to info@boorel.com and we will answer within 30 days. If the answer does not satisfy you, you may complain to your national data protection authority.
8. Club information and photographs
Some catalogue entries were compiled from information organisations publish on their own websites. If such information or a photograph is yours and you want it removed or corrected, write to info@boorel.com and we will do it immediately.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. The current version is always on this page, with the date at the top.
