Guided tour of Nurmuiža Castle

Nurmuiža is a castle built for a vassal of the Livonian Order in the second half of the 16th century and is regarded as the largest and oldest surviving manor complex in Latvia (33 buildings with many heritage sites). A guided tour covers the history of the castle and the Fircks family who owned it and shows a small collection of everyday objects and interiors from past centuries. Tours must be booked in advance.
