Cape Kolka pine nature trail and observation tower – Slītere National Park, Kolka

This 1.2 km circular nature trail in Slītere National Park leads through dune pine forest and over grey and white dunes to the beach, past century-old pines buried up to 2–3 m deep in sand and rare protected plants. Beside the trail stands a six-level wooden observation tower whose top platform is 16 m high, good for watching the sea and bird migration. The trail is easy, takes about 40 minutes and is open all year round, day and night, free of charge.
