Description
Ventspils science centre VIZIUM takes several of its STEM lessons to kindergartens and schools. In 'Dzīvnieki – draugi' children aged 5–6 guess animal voices, match tracks and fur samples to animals and steer small robots; grades 1–3 can measure big old trees, study lichens under digital microscopes or launch mini rockets, and grades 4–6 build flood dams in a lesson on climate change. A group has up to 12–15 children, and larger classes are split.
