The large pool at the “Daugava” Sports Center in downtown Riga is the deepest pool in the city, so it is better suited for competitive swimming than for recreation; Swimmers train here, and it’s the only place in Latvia where you can learn to dive in organized classes. One visit allows for 45 minutes in the water; prices are lowest on weekdays before 2 p.m., while evenings and weekends are more expensive; separate rates apply for children under 18 and families. In the fall of 2026, the pool was closed for renovations—work is scheduled to resume in October–November; it’s worth checking before you go.
