Young Riflemen

The Young Riflemen unit at Alytaus Panemunės progimnazija fosters civic spirit and patriotism and teaches outdoor survival, first aid and hiking. Separate groups for grades 1–4 and grades 5–8 meet in the school's riflemen's classroom. Classes follow the Lithuanian Riflemen's Union four-level program, and during school holidays the young riflemen go on hikes and to camps. Taking part is free: fill in the “Tapk jaunuoju šauliu” form on sauliusajunga.lt or contact the club leader; you become a young rifleman by taking the pledge.
