Women’s Lithuanian folk dance group “Giedra”

“Giedra” is a Lithuanian folk dance group for women at the HOBIVERSE centre, combining folklore and stage Lithuanian dances. In class you learn folk dance steps and the technique of performing them, holds and expressive movement; dances are staged, the group explores traditions and customs, and members socialise outside the dance hall too. Both women who have danced before and complete beginners are welcome. You will need dance shoes or soft canvas slippers, a short-sleeved T-shirt, a skirt and a water bottle. Dancers buy their national costume at their own expense. There are two groups.
