Description
“Vilkmergė” is the women’s folk dance group of Ukmergės kultūros centras, active since 1982. The dancers keep Lithuanian folk dance traditions alive, perform at town and district celebrations, take part in the “Aguonėlė” and “Pora už poros” competitions and in Song Celebrations – in 2024 they danced at the Dance Day of the anniversary Song Celebration – and have performed abroad more than once. Rehearsals are held twice a week in the evenings. New members are welcome to ask about joining at the culture centre or with the group leader.
