Daugavpils is Latvia's main center for wheelchair fencing: para fencers who represented Latvia at the European Championships in October 2026 train here, supported by the municipality and Daugavpils Olimpiskais centrs, which has a fencing hall that meets international standards. The list of Latvijas Paralimpiskā komiteja (the Latvian Paralympic Committee) states that people with mobility impairments can train in this hall around midday on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Since the schedule was published some time ago, ask in advance about joining and the exact times at the Olympic center's reception or through the Latvian sports federation for people with disabilities.
