Wheelchair Curling for People with Mobility Impairments

Club Curling Kērlinga halle, Rīga +371 22 067 454 curling@curling.lv

Description

Latvijas Kērlinga asociācija (the Latvian Curling Association) invites people with physical disabilities who use a wheelchair every day to try wheelchair curling; there are no age limits. In this sport the stone is delivered while seated in the wheelchair, without sweeping, so it suits complete beginners too, and success depends on accuracy and tactics. Latvia's wheelchair curlers won bronze at the 2026 Winter Paralympic Games, and national championships are held for mixed teams and pairs. Training takes place at Kērlinga halle on Biķernieku iela, with times arranged individually – before your first visit, contact the association by phone or e-mail. It is cold on the ice, so bring warm clothes.
