"Vokė" Women's Folk Dance Group

Description

In 2023, former dancers from the girls’ folk dance ensemble came together after a hiatus to form a new women’s folk dance group called “Vokė,” named after the Vokė River that flows through Grigiškės. Quite a few new members also joined the group. They were motivated to reunite by the goal of participating in the 2024 Song Festival “Kad giria žaliuotų,” which will mark its centennial, and the group is now continuing into a new creative phase. The director is Vilma Abrutytė.
