Description
The first treetop walk in the Baltic states, in the Anykščių šilelis pine forest: the path, about 300 m long, gradually rises to 21 m above the ground and ends at a 36 m observation tower with views of the bends of the Šventoji River and the towers of the Anykščiai church. The complex's information center has an interactive exhibition about Anykščių šilelis. The walk suits families with children; pets are not allowed (unless carried in your arms), and the path is closed during thunderstorms or strong winds. The lift for people with disabilities runs only from April to October, when the temperature is above freezing. The complex is open daily except Christmas Day, Easter Sunday and January 1. A visit takes about an hour.
