Description
The Daugavpils municipal zoo keeps more than 120 species of small tropical animals – monkeys, parrots, caimans, turtles, frogs, spiders and more. When booking a tour, groups choose a theme (adaptation, protected animals, exotic animals, amphibians, reptiles, monkeys), and pupils can have themed biology lessons on animal behaviour, adaptation and development. Next door is the Latgale Wetland Biodiversity Park, which is free to visit.
