Description

Formed in 2018 as part of the “Veringa” folklore ensemble at the Šilalė Cultural Center, the traditional band has been known as “Karšuva” since 2022—it has been joined by new members who play the cimbalom and the violin. The group participated in the 2018 Song Festival, the 2019 Prague Folklore Festival, and appeared on the LRT program “Duokim garo” in 2020; and performs at national festivals for traditional bands, district-level “Patrepsynė” competitions, and traditional dance competitions in the Samogitia region. The band is a regular participant in the “Visa Lietuva šoka” (All of Lithuania Dances) ethnic initiative.
