Description

Formed in 2001, the folk music ensemble “Subata” brings together residents of Rietavas who are passionate about folk songs, music, and traditions. Their repertoire consists of Lithuanian folk songs, original compositions, dances, and unique arrangements; every year, they create themed performances for International Women’s Day events. The band is a frequent guest at national and international festivals and competitions, including “Ant Rubežiaus” in Šiauliai and “Pastauninko pintinis” in Kretinga. In 2026, the group will celebrate its 25th anniversary; it has been awarded Category IV status through 2024.
