Description

Founded in 1960 at the Grigiškės Cultural Center, the Vilnius Polish Theater “Studija” was the first arts institution of its kind in Vilnius after the war. Over the years, it has staged more than 70 productions and created and developed international festivals: since 1994, the “Vilnius Polish Stage Meetings,” the “MonoRytai” solo performance festival since 2012, and the “TRANS / MISIJOS Balticum” arts festival since 2020. The theater organizes theater workshops, hosts meetings with renowned Polish actors and directors, and collaborates with Polish organizations and schools. The theater’s productions have been staged in Poland, Germany, Latvia, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria, Ukraine, Belarus, the United Kingdom, and the United States. In 2023, the theater was granted the status of a professional performing arts institution.
