Description

Formed in 1998, the members of the folk music band “Joldija” perform Lithuanian folk music, their own compositions, and music by Lithuanian and foreign composers—ranging from lyrical romances to lively polkas. The band’s motto is “With joy and from the heart!” The group has earned the title of “Most Professional Band,” the “Golden Bird” award and Category I status; it is a regular participant in the Song Festivals and the LRT program “Duokim garo,” and the winner of that program’s finals. They have performed in Latvia, Estonia, Poland, Germany, the United Kingdom, Austria, the Czech Republic, and the United States.
