Description
The Varėna Sports Center’s 25-meter, four-lane pool hosts competitive swimming teams and swimming lessons. Participants learn water safety, breathing, floating, and diving exercises, as well as the breaststroke, backstroke, and freestyle; the coaches are Gytis Kašėta and Gediminas Barysas. After the summer break, the pool will reopen on September 14, 2026. Registration for the 2026–27 groups is available via the sports center’s online form—a service agreement will be sent afterward; Applications for Varėna District extracurricular education programs starting August 15, 2026, are submitted through the mokausi.lt system.
