English“Svaja” ensemble and crafts club for blind and partially sighted people – LASS branch, Raseiniai
Description
The Raseiniai branch of Lietuvos aklųjų ir silpnaregių sąjunga (Lithuanian Union of the Blind and Partially Sighted) brings together almost eighty people with visual impairments. The branch is home to the vocal ensemble “Svaja”, and in the crafts club members make items from wax and other materials, which are later sold at fairs and online. Members receive free community-based social rehabilitation: they learn to manage everyday life independently, build activity and healthy lifestyle skills and get emotional support, and an escort and transport are arranged when needed. To join, e-mail the branch or drop by Kudirkos g. 6 – rehearsal and class times are arranged with you.
