Students' folk art ensemble “Viltis”

“Vilties” progimnazija is known for its folk dance traditions: it is home to the students' folk art ensemble “Viltis”, led by Lukas and Ričardas Bakanauskas. Folk dance sessions are held for separate groups in grades 5–8, where the dancers learn Lithuanian folk dances and stage programmes. Together with VšĮ “Panevėžio pynimėlis”, the school hosts the international children's folk dance festival “Mes nupinsim šokių pynę” every year, in which ensemble members also dance. Sessions are free and intended for the school's students.
