EnglishStudent Lithuanian folk dance group “KauKas”
Description
The Lithuanian folk dance group “KauKas” was founded at Kauno kolegija in 2012 on the students’ own initiative. The dancers rehearse twice a week and perform at events in Kaunas and around the country; they have danced at the Lithuanian Centenary and Kaunas Song Celebrations and at competitions and festivals in France, Italy, the Czech Republic and elsewhere, and together with groups from other universities they organise folk dance evenings. New members are welcome, especially first-year students – no experience needed. During the academic year rehearsals take place on Mondays and Thursdays, 19:00–21:00.
