“Steed or Horse?” session with Žemaitukas horses – Horse Museum, Niūronys

In the museum stable children learn how to behave safely around horses and meet two horses of the Žemaitukas breed, Kėkštas and Varis. The educator talks about a horse’s home, age, markings, names, daily needs and a groom’s work, and briefly about the horse in Lithuanian folklore and history. At the end the children treat the horses to the carrots they have brought.
