Sports Sailing Academy – Club 360, Mežaparkas, Riga

The Club 360 Sports Sailing Academy accepts children ages 7–14 with no prior sailing experience into its beginner group: They learn about water safety, how weather conditions affect a sailboat, sailboat handling, and the basics of competitive sailing. The academy provides “Optimist” and “Laser” class sailboats, as well as required life jackets, for training sessions. During summer vacation, training takes place 3 days a week for 3 hours each session; during the school year, schedules are arranged on an individual basis. For experienced sailors, there is a sports group led by world champion Rihards Vaivods.
