Description
At the Child Development Clinic, speech-language pathologists assess and treat children’s speech, language, and communication disorders: they develop phonological awareness, expand vocabulary, promote correct speech, and help children overcome reading and writing difficulties. Speech therapy massage is also provided for children who have trouble closing their lips, have an abnormal tongue position, a short frenulum, or impaired swallowing. Parents are advised on how to support language development at home; appointments are made through the reception desk.
