Description

“Smiltatė” is a women’s choir affiliated with the Nida Culture and Tourism Information Center “Agila” that carries on long-standing traditions while also embracing innovation. When creating its repertoire, the choir constantly seeks new forms of expression: it sings classical and popular music, as well as Lithuanian songs and works by foreign composers. Arrangements for the choir are prepared not only by composers but also by the conductor himself, which is why the group stands out for the uniqueness of its repertoire. The choir actively participates in competitions and gives concerts in Lithuania and abroad; it has been awarded Category II status.
