EnglishSenior folk dance group “Banguolis”
Description
“Banguolis” is the senior folk dance group of Palangos kultūros centras, founded in 1996 and named after a sea plant that grows on the Baltic coast. Through Lithuanian folk dances the members bring out the Samogitian temperament and the distinctive features of the national costume; the group takes part in national Song Celebrations, Europeades and festivals in Lithuania and abroad. The group is always open to new members – Palanga residents who want to dance are welcome to join. Rehearsals take place on Tuesday and Thursday evenings in the concert hall of Palangos senoji gimnazija.
