Description
“Tyklė” is a Samogitian folklore ensemble formed in 1995 at Vilniaus kultūros centras (the former Teachers' House), bringing together about 15 people who love Samogitia. Members sing Samogitian songs, play the bandoneon, kanklės and lamzdeliai, cherish their native dialect and the heritage of their elders, put together themed programmes and take part in international folklore festivals. New members are welcome – especially Samogitians and people from Klaipėda. Rehearsals are held on Wednesday evenings at Vilniaus kultūros centras, room 216.
