Sailing lessons for children ages 6 and up – “Žiemys,” Dreverna, and Klaipėda

The “Žiemys” Sailing School in the Klaipėda region teaches children as young as 6 to sail in “Optimist” boats, and older children in ILCA boats. During the sailing season (April–October), training sessions take place at the Port of Dreverna—children from Klaipėda (1 Priešpilio St.) are transported by the school’s shuttle, while from November through March, swimming, functional training, and movement games take place in Klaipėda’s pools and gyms (the schedule is announced in October). Children must be able to float; swimsuits can be tried on at the location, and life jackets are provided by the school. The first lesson is free, and new students are accepted year-round.
