EnglishSailing for Children
Description
At the sailing department of the Jūrmala Sports School, children begin sailing on “Optimist” class yachts (beginners aged 7–10), and later move on to the ILCA class. The students participate in stages of the Latvian Cup, regattas in Lithuania, Estonia, and elsewhere, and the school itself organizes the “Jūrmala Cup” competition. The groups are coached by head coach Juris Ailis, Ināra Aile, Alise Riekstiņa, and Elita Krūmiņa. For information on enrollment and training schedules, please contact the head coach.
