English'Rīga park stories' – a discovery quest in a historic Rīga park
Club
Hikes and Walks Venue by agreement · Rīga
Description
A guide from Rīgas meži, the city's forest and park company, takes a primary class (grades 1–4) on a quest through one of Rīga's historic parks – Vērmanes dārzs, Ziedoņdārzs, Kronvalda parks, Arkādijas parks or Esplanāde. Working in teams with an artist-drawn map, the children look for hidden stops, hear stories in which trees, fountains and Latvian poets come alive, read mirror writing and identify tree leaves. At the end they design their own ideal park together.
