English"Raskila" Folk Ensemble
Description
Since 1989, the “Raskila” folk ensemble has been reviving folk songs, dances, instrumental music, games, and stories, focusing primarily on the folklore of southern Lithuania. The ensemble has about 29 members ranging in age from 14 to 45, who play the accordion, violins, lumzdelis, birbynė, and drums. In 2015, the ensemble won the “Golden Bird” award.
