Piano Lessons

In piano class, students work one-on-one with a teacher to learn to read music, develop their finger technique, and perform pieces both as soloists and in ensembles; in groups, they take lessons in music notation, solfège, and music history. Children begin the elementary music education program (4 years) at ages 7–8; 9-year-olds may be admitted directly into the second grade; Older children and adults choose the four-year amateur program, which focuses exclusively on the instrument of their choice.
