Piano Lessons

In the piano class, children work one-on-one with a teacher to learn to read music, develop their technique, and perform as soloists and in chamber ensembles. Students in grades 1–2 are accepted into the elementary music education program; in the first year, lessons are held once a week, and later twice a week. All first-graders take solfège, and participation in the children’s choir is recommended. For older youth, there is a 2–4-year amateur program, while adults can study in the adult program; instruments can be rented from the school.
