English“Ogresgala 5. skautu un gaidu vienība” Scout and Guide Troop
Description
“Ogresgala 5. skautu un gaidu vienība” is a troop of the Latvian Scout and Guide Central Organization (LSGCO) with Cub Scouts and Brownies (ages 7–11), Scouts and Guides (ages 12–14), and Senior Scouts and Senior Guides (ages 15–17). Scouts and Guides learn useful life skills – knots, first aid, orienteering, fire-building and outdoor living – and they go on hikes, travel to camps and do good deeds. Meetings are held on Sunday mornings and are free; all children and young people in grades 2–12 can sign up. To join, contact the troop leader; after getting to know the troop, a new member makes the promise and receives a neckerchief.
