English“Ogres 29. skautu un gaidu vienība” Scout and Guide Troop
Description
“Ogres 29. skautu un gaidu vienība” is a troop of the Latvian Scout and Guide Central Organization (LSGCO) with Cub Scouts and Brownies (ages 7–11) and Scouts and Guides (ages 12–14). Scouts and Guides learn useful life skills – knots, first aid, orienteering, fire-building and outdoor living – and they go on hikes, travel to camps and do good deeds. The troop is based at Ogres Jauniešu māja, with meetings on Tuesday evenings. To join, contact the troop leader; after getting to know the troop, a new member makes the promise and receives a neckerchief.
