Nature Lessons – Dzūkija National Park Nature School, Marcinkonys

The Dzūkija National Park nature school in Marcinkonys welcomes groups of children, pupils and families all year round to two-hour nature lessons with an outing to the forest, a bog or local streams. Topics are matched to age: woodpeckers and pines for the youngest, the birds of Dzūkija for primary pupils, and bogs, rivers and springs or Dzūkija’s sand and flint for older pupils, while a folk-culture lesson covers traditional tree beekeeping. Lessons are held for groups and must be booked in advance.
