Macikų lagerio karcerio ekspozicija

Housed in the former punishment-cell building of the Macikai camps, this exhibition of the Hugo Scheu Museum of Šilutė tells the story of the Nazi German prisoner-of-war camp and the later Soviet Gulag camp that operated here between 1941 and 1955. The prisoners’ cemetery, the former bathhouse and the camp site itself can be seen nearby. Visits and guided tours must be booked in advance by phone or e-mail.
