Lithuanian folk dance club, grades 5–8 – Elektrėnų “Ąžuolyno” progimnazija, Elektrėnai

In the school’s Lithuanian folk dance club, older pupils learn Lithuanian folk dances: correct steps, figures, and couple and circle dances from different regions of Lithuania. Classes take place in the choreography hall in two groups – one for eighth-grade girls and one for fifth-graders. Pupils show the dances they have learned at school celebrations, commemorations and other events. The club is free and intended for the school’s pupils; to join, contact the leader or the school office.
