Description
In the 2026–2027 school year, Kauno Jurgio Dobkevičiaus progimnazija runs a Lithuanian folk dance club for primary pupils. It is led by teacher Kamilė Ambrozaitė, and classes take place in the assembly hall twice a week, on Wednesdays and Thursdays after lessons. Children learn Lithuanian folk dance steps, circle dances and dancing in pairs, develop their sense of rhythm and coordination, and show the dances they have learned at school celebrations. This school year the club is for children in classes 1A and 3A; it is part of the school’s after-school (non-formal education) programme and is free.
