English“Kocēnu 38. skautu vienība” Scout and Guide Troop
Description
“Kocēnu 38. skautu vienība” is a troop of the Latvian Scout and Guide Central Organization (LSGCO) with Cub Scouts and Brownies (ages 7–11), Scouts and Guides (ages 12–14), and Senior Scouts and Senior Guides (ages 15–17). Scouts and Guides learn useful life skills – knots, first aid, orienteering, fire-building and outdoor living – and they go on hikes, travel to camps and do good deeds. There are four groups at the school (grades 1, 2–4, 5–6 and 7–9), meeting after classes. To join, contact the troop leader; after getting to know the troop, a new member makes the promise and receives a neckerchief.
