English“Jonavėlė” folk band, drama club and book club for blind and partially sighted people – LASS branch, Jonava
Description
The Jonava branch of Lietuvos aklųjų ir silpnaregių sąjunga (Lithuanian Union of the Blind and Partially Sighted) brings together people with visual impairments from across the district. Members play in the folk music band “Jonavėlė”, act in a drama club and meet at a book lovers' club. The branch also provides free community-based social rehabilitation: it teaches people to cope with the everyday difficulties that come with sight loss, builds occupational and work skills, and when needed helps members get there by arranging an escort and transport. To join, e-mail the branch or drop in at Chemikų g. 136 – activity times are agreed with the branch.
