Description
The Liepāja Olympic Center Ice Arena—home to the local ice hockey team—has more than 1,100 seats; Public skating sessions are held several times a week for one hour each; on certain days, there are also sessions with hockey sticks. Skates, helmets, protective gear, gloves, and support poles for beginners can be rented on site; Children under 10 years of age must wear a helmet and gloves on the ice. Children 6 years of age and younger skate for free; schoolchildren, students, seniors, and people with disabilities receive a discount; families receive a 10% discount for each child accompanying them (upon presentation of a “Goda ģimene” card, a “3+ Family Card,” or the children’s birth certificates). There is a café in the arena.
