"Griciukas" Children's and Youth Folk Ensemble – Rūdiškiai Cultural Center

“Griciukas” is a children’s and youth folk ensemble at the Rūdiškiai Cultural Center that operates as an ethnocultural studio: the children sing songs from the Dzūkija region, dance in circles, play games, and learn about traditional calendar holidays. Those who wish to do so learn to play the kanklės, dambrelis, lumzdeliai, harmonica, basedla, or drum; the ensemble gives concerts and travels to folklore festivals. There are two groups that rehearse—the older and younger groups—led by Augustė Gaidytė-Palaitienė.
