Description

Formed in 2019, the Grigiškės Cultural Center’s girls’ vocal ensemble brings together about ten girls, mostly upperclassmen from Grigiškės high schools. The ensemble’s goal is to foster young people’s desire to sing and encourage them to actively participate in community activities. The repertoire consists mainly of works by Lithuanian composers, arrangements of folk songs, and pop songs with lyrics by renowned Lithuanian poets. The ensemble has participated in the amateur arts festival “Šalia kelio vieškelėlio,” Grigiškės community projects, and, since 2023, in the musical education project “Muzikiniai tiltai” with students from Vytautas Magnus University. The ensemble’s regular accompanist is the cultural center’s student instrumental ensemble.
