Description
The folklore ensemble “Šaltinėlis” of Grigiškių kultūros centras has been active since 2009 and has about 22 members. Its repertoire focuses largely on Dzūkian folklore; the songs are accompanied by concertina, accordion, guitar, drum and rattle, and members wear Dzūkian and Aukštaitian national costumes and take part in Grigiškės community projects and celebrations. The ensemble is looking for new members: knowing the Dzūkian dialect and having your own national costume and instruments will help, but what matters most is a love of folk song and a wish to spend time with others.
