Description
The folk dance club at Trakų Vytauto Didžiojo gimnazija is for students in years III–IV who want to get to know Lithuanian folk dance. In class they learn basic steps, circle dances and couple dances and work on posture, sense of rhythm and teamwork, and the dances they learn are shown at school celebrations and events in Trakai. The club is led by the school’s dance teacher, who also teaches dance as an arts subject. Rehearsals take place once a week after lessons. Classes are free and intended for the school’s students.
