Description
The Prienai branch of Lietuvos aklųjų ir silpnaregių sąjunga (Lithuanian Union of the Blind and Partially Sighted) brings together people with visual impairments from the Prienai district and Birštonas. The branch is home to the vocal ensemble “Puriena”, which performs in Lithuania and Poland, and a crafts club whose members' handiwork goes to fairs and exhibitions. Members receive free community-based social rehabilitation – independent living, occupational and work skills, emotional support, an escort and transport. To join, contact the branch at J.
