Day Center for People with Mental Health Conditions – “Ķemeri” Center, Jūrmala
Description
The “Ķemeri” center, in Ķemeri National Park, is for people aged 15 and over who have a disability due to mental health conditions and who are not working or work part-time. On weekdays there are group health exercise classes, sports, dancing and games, walks in nature, art and music therapy, sewing and ceramics workshops, cooking lessons and museum visits. Visitors get meals, and the center's transport picks them up at Bulduri station in the morning and takes them back in the evening. The service is assigned by the Jūrmala Welfare Department based on assessments from a family doctor and a psychiatrist.
