Description
The day center “Cerību Ligzda” in Riga, Balvu iela 11, belongs to the society Rīgas pilsētas “Rūpju bērns”, which works with people with intellectual disabilities. On weekdays, 7:30–17:00, visitors do handicrafts and embroidery, weaving, wicker work, housework, art, health-promoting sports and boccia, take part in a movement theater group and go on outings. Sessions are led by craftspeople and club leaders; the center has 48 places and a large garden, and lunch is free. Ask the society in advance about available places and to arrange a visit; the service is provided under Riga City Council rules.
